Dr. Corinna Barkholdt

Corinna Barkholdt, PhD, is senior research assistant at the Institute of Gerontology since 1993. She studied political science at the University of Marburg and received her master's degree in political science at the University of Marburg in 1992. In 1997, she received her doctorate from the University of Dortmund with a doctoral thesis on "Destandardisation of working-time over the life-course".

In 2002, she started as lecturer at the University of Dortmund (social geronotolgy) as well. Her research areas include social policy with special emphasis on poverty and income research; research on social security and pension systems with special emphasis on social security of women; and labour markets policies with special emphasis on working-time policies and training strategies.
